“As automotive technology continues to advance more rapidly than ever, ACDelco service technicians have a new tool at their disposal with the introduction of the GM MDI 2 interface,” said Robert Sanford, general director, ACDelco. It also fully complies with the latest SAE J2534 and ISO-22900 standards, ACDelco says. The MDI 2 adds enhanced connectivity, plug-and-play setup, operation during engine cranking, extended temperature range, rugged design and many additional improvements. MDI 2 is a communications device that manages the transfer of data between a GM vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU) network and a personal computer.
